The last Photoshop project completed in my Media Graphics course was the most difficult for me. The instructions were to simply make a rock band poster, could be for any artist, song or album. We were to incorporate certain effects in the poster, including a type mask, at least one layer effect, and one layer mask or gradient mask.

As much as I consider myself a strong appreciator of music, it was difficult for me  to choose what to use for my poster. I wanted to choose a song or artist I really loved, but also needed to still be able to represent that in the poster. Eventually I settled with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers’ “Wildflowers,” which is such a sweet, and special song to me. I was able to successfully use each of the functions required for the assignment, and got to practice my Clone Stamp and Pattern skills to create the effect on the boat.
